I walked away from Jack and never looked back. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do, but I couldn’t stay with him—not after everything. I want to hate her but the moment we are alone together, things seem better, brighter—and all I can think of is our journey. We've been to hell and back. We've been broken, bruised and destroyed. Life tried to corrupt us, but we were already corrupted by each other. Yet, despite all of it, we keep finding our way back to each other. Like two broken souls who could only be mended by love. I might not know much about anything right now, but I know one damn thing for sure this time I’m not letting Katie go.

This is a super quick read that leaves the reader wanting more! The characters are impossible to dislike and their relationship is confusing not only to them, but to the reader as well. There are a lot of questions that the reader needs answered, but this story will definitely grab their attention. The reader won't know whether they want Jack and Katie to get back together, deny their feelings or to just let them explode in the way that only they can...it's a short read that packs a huge punch!
Ok yall i started Jack tonight and couldnt put it down. Once you meet jack you are going to want to know more about him. I am not a big romance novel or love story kind of girl. Unless it has some type of supernatural creature. But jack pulled me in and i can NOT wait for book 2 in this series. You are going tonwant more of jack i promise!
The continued love story into adult life, they come together again..and will Katie get her dream ? To be Mrs. Jack..quick read, but a must!
"Jack & Katie" is a beatiful well written short story which have a encouraging plot. Once you start to read it, you will not able to put down the book until you finish it. It settles an intrigue from the beggining which keeps you curious. And the end, well, you'll have to read it to know what happens but I'll give you a hint It drew a smile on my face.
This was a quick read which gave some answers to the questions I had and but left me hanging a little too. I hope there will be more to Jack and Katie's story. After being away from each for three years they run into each other again. Will they finally push through all of their issues?
Jack & Katie is a very realistic story about two young adults trying to figure out their relationship. The awkwardness, silences, unsaid declarations, and longing of the two main characters will remind readers of their own adventures in dating.
I appreciate that Jack is not a stereotypically handsome man with a six-pack and chiseled features. Jack and Katie feel like people you know, or like the people you were when you were younger. Jack’s extended family may not act in a traditional manner. But I like that his grandmother is a bit coarse. We all have relatives like that, and not every grandmother is knitting sweaters and making soup. Having lost his mother at such a young age, we can sense the pain and emptiness that Jack feels on every page.
Though her biography says she is still relatively new to writing, it is clear that Laine Watson is a natural storyteller. She uses a lot of evocative descriptions in her work and her dialogue is effective in portraying the uncertain relationship between the two main characters. I look forward to reading more from Laine Watson.
